The Minidoka Pilgrimage Planning Committee has decided to cancel the 2020 Minidoka Pilgrimage that was scheduled to take place July 9-12, 2020, due to the ongoing health situation created by the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
We take the health and well-being of our pilgrims very seriously. Our decision to cancel was not made lightly, however we want to do our best to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep our pilgrims healthy. We will be in touch with those of you who have already registered for the 2020 Minidoka Pilgrimage regarding the refund of any registration fees.
We would like to thank all our pilgrims, past and present, for their ongoing support; your eagerness and enthusiasm mean the world to us. Because of this, we will be working to offer alternative programming in continuity with our mission to honor and remember the generations who suffered the injustices of racism and incarceration, deliver the message of “Never Again,” and to pass on the legacy to any who will listen. Details about any alternative programming will be published on our website (www.minidokapilgrimage.org) as they are finalized. There are currently no plans to reschedule the Pilgrimage for 2020, however we hope to see everyone in 2021. Any updates regarding future Pilgrimage dates will be announced through our website and social media channels.
